Permanent Make-Up?

Whats permanent make-up? does it really work?Permanent Make-Up?
The only thing I can think of is when people get eyeliner tatooed on their face...or eyeshadow.Permanent Make-Up?
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique which employs tattoos (permanent pigmentation of the dermis) as a means of producing designs that resemble makeup, such as eyelining (eye shadows) and other permanent enhancing colors to the skin of the face, lips and eyelids. It is also used to produce artificial eyebrows, particularly in people who have lost it as a consequence of old age, disease, such as alopecia, chemotherapy or a genetic disturbance, and to disguise scars and white spots in the skin such as in vitiligo. It is also used to restore or enhance the breast's areola, such as after breast surgery.

Other names used are dermapigmentation, micropigmentation, permanent cosmetics and cosmetic tattooing. These procedures are regulated in many countries and states, some of them requiring a registered professional, such as an esthetician, dermatologist or plastic surgeon to perform it. In the United States and other countries, the inks used in permanent makeup and the pigments in these inks are subject to FDA regulation as cosmetics and color additives.
My cousin (a woman in her early 40's) got the lip liner and she describe it as extremely painful. It's like getting a tattoo on a sensitive part of your body like your lips or eye area. as someone with tattoos that doesn't sound fun to me- but yeah I would say it would work and last.
PERMANENT MEANS IT WILL HAVE TO STAY THERE FOREVER.....I WOULD NOT TRUST IT AT ALL.....YOU HAVE TO THINK OF STYLES CHANGING, NEW MAKE UP, NEW HAIR COLORS,,,,,,,,,WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU ALREADY HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THAT PERMANENT AND THE COLORS OR SOMETHING ELSE CHANGES.....YES,.......YOU`LL BE PERMANENTLY MARKED.....
only permenant make up is tattooed on. i ahve seen it done, it looks pretty real. they also tattoo eyebrows so you don't have to get them waxed.
Its permanent because it is tattooed on. Its does work though.
yes it works thay tattoo it on ( =
Permanent make up is tattooed on your skin... lip liner or eye liner for example. Yes, it really works... it stays on forever, but I wouldn't do it.... it looks creepy when you don't have any other make up on.
eyeliner last ..lip liner fades
Permanent make-up is where they tattoo your eye-liner, blush, they can do your eyebrows and your lipstick. It works. However, my old boss did that, in the beginning it was so bright it was disturbing. It did not look good at all. Over time it started to fade, and we all got used to it. But getting over the first shock was really hard.
The way I understand it permanent make-up is a tattoo.

I have heard of people having eyeliner put on permanently so they don't have to put it on everyday. They wake up with their eyeliner done.

It sounds like a Big commitment to wear your make-up the same way everyday.....forever.
Yeah. Almost like plastic surgery.
My mom got this permanent makeup a while back. It's tattooing, just ... as a beauty product.

It works, but you have to get it touched up every 6-8 weeks for the first year, or it fades. My mom unfortunately only saved up for the first round, and never could afford the after treatments, so hers eventually faded away.
tatooed makeup
yea my freind's mom has eyeliner tattooed on it looks good
permanent make-up is basically getting color tattooed on your face. So yes, obviously it would work since tattoos are permanant. The only downfall is you have to wear the same color for the rest of your life. I used to work with a lady that had this done.
Since I am the the 400th person to answer this question, I'm guessing you already know that it's tattooed on. However, I don't think people realize that it's a subtle thing. It's not like you will have big blue eyelids and pink lips for the rest of your life. The lines are soft, and can EASILY be covered up by regular old makeup.

So... if your style were to change, you can easily apply your own makeup to cover what's permanently been applied. My old vocal teacher from many years ago had hers done, and she constantly went without makeup, so I saw just the ';permanent'; makeup. She had a light blue eyeliner on her top and bottom lids, and a soft pink lip liner on. She actually looked very pretty, even on her blah days!

It's just a way to make your everyday routine a little less high maintenance, and I for one, am appreciative of it.
